Working with client's who have been or believe themselves, to have been victim's of satanic or cult abuse.
Working as a therapist in this area one often feel's alone and in the dark. Most therapist's are either believer's or skeptics who arrive at the client's spiritual problem's from an inflexible preconceived, conviction. Their work with the client is therefore tainted by their strong belief's , one way or another. Good and effective therapeutic work, requires the therapist, to hold a balanced position, which is free from the limitation's imposed, by clinging to either end of the therapist's belief system about whether. evil, satan. demon's or other highly negative forces' exist or not.
I arrive at this topic, mainly but by no mean's exclusively from the Judaeo - Christian point of view. In other cultures', the titles and ideas around evil, Lucifer (the Devil - Satan).
Demon's and other highly evil entities have different name's and duties with often similar characteristics to those in Judaeo Chrisian belief's.
Even if you believe that Lucifer / Satan is a myth, this does not mean that there is no foundation in the belief that evil exist's, wherever it might come from.
There are too many forms and level's of satanism or evil, if you like, for one meaning to be all inclusive, although the majority of my client's come from the most extreme form's or level's of satanism or satanic and or evil cult's or group's.
The satanic or evil cult's and group's are alway's secret or hidden behind the facade of a seemingly respectable society or organisation. They are normally highly organised and devoted to some form of sacrifice, nowaday's usually animal's. They tend to be sado - mascochistic, have ritual sex, together with many form's of abuse, often with and to children. There are also a wide range of other act's committed dependent on the group's purpose.
Most of the above involve ceremonies, , robe's, chanting of satanic or other belief's, goblet's for drinking blood, traditionally from sacrificed animal's, dagger's and other paraphernalia. in the case of satanic worship's, there is also the inverted cruicifix and many other opposites of the catholic mass.
The therapist who is in denial of the reality of highly evil group's who commit attrocities against many of their cult member's, who then consequently become their client's, is at real risk of becoming dissasociated from the client and of them failing to form a therapeutic working relationship.
Some of the reason's that men and women choose to follow satanic groups or cult's are as follows:
a) To acquire power in their life or work.
b) To acquire spiritual power.
c) To acquire wealth.
d) To create disassociation both in observer's or participant's of the group and then to achieve control over them.
e) Sacrifice to appease a deity, to reach a satanic or other entities in their belief system. This ritual can be performed for the benefit of the cult group leader too.
f) To multiply the channelling of spiritual energy and power.
g) To insert entities ( ) into participant's or other's. (possession and spirit attachment).
h) Curiosity and the sense of knowing what was once unknown.
i) Sexual and sadistic activities.
j) Being driven and motivated by strong belief's.
There are many other invidual reason's and motivation's why someone would choose to follow a satanic group or cult.
