Part four
Create a sanctuary within one’s self. This can be a relaxed place, such as a comfortable room. A field full of flower’s, the edge of a lake or river or the top of a mountain etc. This is a place where you can choose to go, at any time, to be on your own in peace. Or you can invite any spiritual being’s to join you there. It is an ideal place, to get to know your own spirit. Most people do not know their own spirit. This greatly enhances as well as feeling close to your own internal spirit. You can also ask your guide’s and helper’s or spirit, to join you individually or as a group. You can even ask an Angel or higher spiritual being e.g. ascended master’s, Jesus or God to be present with you. You can then ask for help and advice or even just support.
The title of this meditation is Sitting In the Power and was taught by my spiritual mentor’s. Additionally, as I believe that the Buddhists would say, in true meditation the body and the mind become, as if separated. It is then possible to ask your subconscious mind, to look after everything to do with the physical body, so freeing you to concentrate on the purpose, whatever this might be, of the meditation, without bodily distractions. In fact, you become totally unaware of your physical body and it’s physical distraction’s.
Meditation, does not have to, or need to be for a spiritual purpose. (See part one, two or three).
There are many form’s and reason’s for meditation, depending upon what spiritual belief’s you may have or indeed if it is just used for relaxation and achieving peace and tranquillity. Some believe that meditation is not trance – altered states of mind. But I personally believe that trance / altered states are integral part of the meditation process.
