Cults
For the purpose of this paper a cult is a group that has a charismatic leader whose motivation is that of power or an extreme belief system, religious or otherwise. It will often recruit vulnerable, disturbed and extremist people. Those who need someone to follow and look up to. Some people join through fear, because they have been told of terrible consequences, if they do not accept and believe what the group and leader tells them. They are often isolated individuals who crave family and friends and also lack security. The cult will tend to provide this for them by its very nature. Cults often aim to further isolate them from their external family and friends and make them even more dependent for their physical and emotional needs on the group/cult.
Religious cults are often very similar to satanic groups as their doctrines depend on power, fear and other socially unacceptable behavior. The cult can impose on members; especially those who wish to break free of highly negative energies.
The leader can also call upon demonic forces to punish or destroy the recipient. In effect a curse.
All cults can create in the client the belief that they have been cursed or possessed by an evil entity or energy source, which indeed they might have been.
Remember that negative intent is a very powerful energy.
